What are your favorite shells to find?
Cheers,
Margaret
I just discovered your page today and I'm loving it! All those baby whelks in the jar are so cool! I visit Holden Beach and my favorite shells are keyhole limpets, but they're all great :) I couldn't help but notice that you have a picture up there labeled as a baby skate, but it's actually a sea pansy...just thought you might like to know! I can't wait to get back to Holden this fall to see what new things wash up...and to get married...but seriously, if we're saying our vows and something washes up at my feet, it's going to be hard not to go after it! Haha :) Cheers!
ReplyDeleteHello! And, thank you for your comment. Thank you too for correcting my picture post. I was sure it was a baby skate. Glad to know it's not though. So, is a sea pansy what I think it is? Ocean foliage?
DeleteCongratulations on your upcoming nuptials! My husband and I were married in March, and thankfully in a church. I wouldn't be able to keep my eyes off the sand if we were married on the beach :). You'll probably be okay though. Shell after the vows. :) Please stay in touch, and enjoy this summer, and the rest of your engagement! Cheers! Margaret
Oh, and I love keyhole limpets too! I grew up calling them chinamen's hats. I had no idea that wasn't their real name until about 7 years ago :).
